Jackie Ryan was once fist-bumped by Adam West

She makes the Aurealis Award-winning Burger Force comic book series (also twice shortlisted in the Ledger Awards for Excellence in Australian Comics), is the founding editor of the comedy collective The Fanciful Fiction Auxiliary, holds a PhD in History and Political Science from The University of Queensland, and is the author of ‘We’ll Show the World: Expo 88’ (UQP).

… then there was that time when the Burger Force and FFA websites were archived by the National Library of Australia as sites of cultural significance, when art from those projects had seperate exhibitions at the Brisbane Powerhouse, when the FFA sold out its Brisbane Powerhouse show, when Jackie designed the original logo for the Queensland Literary Awards, directed music-videos for b(if)tek, Iron On, Full Fathom Five, and The Stress of Leisure, when she appeared at festivals ranging from Woodford to the Stan Lee Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles (for which she was invited to design a limited edition print), that time she wrote the didactic text for the Museum of Brisbane’s 25th anniversary of Expo exhibition, and that time she was an Honorary Research Fellow at UQ.

But mostly she thinks about that time she was fist-bumped by Adam West.
